Common Certifications and What They Mean!

We all know the beauty and self-care industry can be slightly confusing and overwhelming! Especially when these brands are putting claims, certifications and awards all over there products. What do these labels mean? Is it true? Many companies are saying their product is something but is it actually?

Fair squared is honest and transparent with you! We want you to know why you should choose our products and what they mean! From Vegan to Carbon Neutral, After reading this you will know exactly why you are choosing Fair Squared!

FAIRTRADE!

What does Fairtrade actually mean!

It’s not just about chocolate. Fairtrade works with farmers to help improve living, communities, business ad protect the environment. There is a lot of companies out there who don’t think about workers’ rights and way of life. We are fairtrade as that’s our main concern! Fair trade relationships, ecological responsibility and a consistent no to child labour and animal testing - fairness takes place for us at all levels.

Anything from shea butter to aloe vera can be Fairtrade!

Natural!

The term Natural is one of the most used term in the clean beauty industry. Honestly, it’s a nice word that doesn’t really hold any legal meaning. Even if a brand labels there products as Natural it doesn’t always mean they are! NATRUE is an organisation that does hold meaning. NATRUE certification encourages transparency when using the term 'organic' and is now an internationally recognised logo for natural cosmetics. All products that have this logo (Like ours!) are at least 95% natural! All our products have gone through strict criteria to be able to hold this mark. So, trust us when we say we are defiantly Natural!

VEGAN!

Vegan compared to cruelty free! In short vegan means that the products do not contain animal-derived products or use them in the production process. Cruelty-free products have not been tested on animals or use ingredients that have been.

The Vegan Trademark does both! Why are our products vegan? Being Animal friendly is important to use! Lots of products contain ingredients from animals such as lanolin, collagen and beeswax! Why use that when nature already provides us with ingredients to use and save hurting or distressing animals.
