It’s Men’s Health Week - let’s celebrate with self-care
Here is our Self-Care Guide for Men
There is a bit of stigma around men taking a pamper day, but it is something that is essential for looking after yourself, especially your mental health. Men’s self-care is not much different than women’s, men love to feel healthy, relaxed and taking care of themselves, which is important for your wellbeing.
Self-care is all about taking care of yourself, but it shouldn’t be just once in a while. There are lots of men’s self-care activities that can improve your wellbeing.
Here we have listed some great self-care tips to get you started.
To kick off your self-care day you could start with reading a good book or watch a cheesy film or tv show that you know you will love.
You can then take some time to have a hot shower or a relaxing bath, which you could include the Apricot Body Soap to deeply cleanse your skin. FairTrade olive oil, shea butter and coconut oil in the soap will moisturise and cleanse the skin. Then why not try our Coconut Body Soap it includes coffee beans, that will work to exfoliate the skin and softly scrub away the dead skin cells to leave skin soft and smooth. When you come out the shower or bath, you can nourish your skin by using the Lime Body Lotion, rich in natural vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and antioxidants which help to rejuvenate the skin and prevent premature signs of ageing. Your skin will love it, trust us!
This is a simple regime that is tried and tested to keep the skin soft, moisturised and pampered.
If you would like to shave, then we recommend using our Coffee Shaving Soap to prep the skin prior to shaving. Do not forget to moisturise after shaving to avoid any irritations or razor bumps.
If you have a luscious full beard, then why not pamper that as well. The ingredients in our Coffee Beard Soap are gentle cleansers and can be used daily for a healthy maintained beard.
Why not treat yourself after your skincare pampering session to your favourite takeaway, how about pizza? Or maybe a curry with a soft garlic naan. So much to choose from, it’s a hard decision but someone’s gotta do it.
Every man has a different way of practicing selfcare but sometimes we just don’t realise when we need it. One of the keys to positive self-care is identifying when you need a mental health break or doing some self-care. Don’t forget to listen to your body and mind, and take care of yourself!
